Hi, I’m Ella McIntyre, and I’m the Director of Operations here at UmbrellasOnWheels.com. If you have questions about buying a mobile patio umbrella, bases and stands – I can help you find answers.
Umbrellas are a great way to add shade and that resort-like feel to your backyard. However, if you don’t have a large and heavy enough base, your umbrella will continually fall down in the wind.
The Problem with Patio Umbrellas & Our Mission to Solve It:
When considering the challenges with patio umbrellas, it’s clear that mobility and stability are key concerns. Many umbrellas are not designed to be easily moved as the sun shifts or when transitioning from one outdoor area to another. This lack of mobility can be frustrating for users who want to maximize shade and comfort throughout the day.
Furthermore, stability is a major issue. Lightweight or poorly weighted bases contribute to umbrellas tipping over or being damaged in moderate winds. Without a vent system in the canopy, the wind resistance increases, exacerbating these problems.
The Solution We Provide & How We Are Different:
At UmbrellasOnWheels.com, the focus is on addressing these issues with innovative solutions. The umbrellas feature bases with wheels, enhancing mobility without compromising on stability.
These bases are designed to be filled with sand or water, allowing them to be heavy and stable when in use, yet lighter and more manageable when it’s time to move them. This approach also significantly reduces shipping costs compared to pre-filled, heavy bases.
By prioritizing user convenience and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring durability and stability, UmbrellasOnWheels.com offers a tailored solution to the common frustrations associated with patio umbrellas.
Why Did I Buy My Own Mobile Patio Umbrella Base?
I experienced this first hand, and was planning on building a stationary mount on my deck. However, I then discovered weighted umbrella stands that roll. This changed my plan entirely.
Now, I didn’t have to spend time and effort building anything. Plus, I didn’t have to decide where to install my umbrella because I could turn mine into a mobile shade canopy.
Once I received my base stand, I knew instantly that I made the right decision. It was super easy to set up, and now I roll it around all the time.
As you can tell by the photo, the new rolling base is significantly larger than my previous “heavy” stand that weighed about 40 lbs. The extra width and weight really makes a difference when it comes to holding up my umbrella. And, it doesn’t blow over anymore!
Consequently, I use my backyard umbrella way more often, and I spend more time outdoors. I don’t worry about where the shade is in my yard, because now I can shade any area of my yard in a matter of seconds. You can get cantilever umbrella stands that do the same thing.
Anyway, let me know if you have questions about finding umbrellas on wheels. I’m happy to help!
Ella
